Rules of The
AugustaPool
2.) Scoring:
Each day I will calculate your
score based on how
many strokes under par each of players are for that day's round. The following points are
awarded for each stroke under par that player scores:
A.)
Daily Points:
|
First Round
|
One (1) point
for every stroke under par
|
|
Second Round
|
Two (2) points
for every stroke under par
|
|
Third Round
|
Three (3) points
for every stroke under par
|
|
Final Round
|
Four (4) points
for every stroke under par
|
For example, if Tiger shoots a
69 (three under par) in the First Round, you would receive three points (3
x 1 point = 3). If he shoots another 69 in the Second Round, you would
receive six points (3 x 2 points = 6) for a total score on day two of 9
points (3 points from First Round and 6 points from the Second Round).
And so on.
B.)
Bonus Points:
-
Make
the Cut: For each player on your team
that makes the cut you will receive an additional five (5) bonus points.
(Scoring hint for newbies: This might be obvious but picking guys that make the cut is kind of
important since the big points are picked up during the 3rd and 4th
rounds.)
-
Win
the Masters: If the winner of the Masters
is on your team you will receive an additional ten (10) bonus points.
(10 points might not seem like much but the 2007 AugustaPool was
decided by these bonus points)
